Another ‘How Hard Can It Be’ project with a little bit of a twist…use as much gifted/repurposed materials as possible. Seeing a need for a quarantined play area for the Legos that ultimately always made their way under foot while being stored floor level, I jumped at the chance to receive a second-hand, well loved, kids Ikea table thinking “How hard can it be…” to add a shelf and convert it into a Lego Workstation. After having searched and waited for quite some time for an opportunity to receive a hand-me-down Lego table from the local gifting circle this little joy popped up for gifting and thus my adventure began.
Through the use of a hand saw, some inginuity, and assistance from the local Home Depot this brilliant, multi-purpose piece of joy was created. A unique and versatile solution that exceeded expectations, sparked creativity, and lead to a discovery of a new love, carpentry.
Next up on my DIY list is restoration of a gifted, old wooden garden bench to provide updated seat base stability. Although, a table saw might be needed for this.
